Repair Price list


The basic service is a tune up of a bike. It includes the following:

  • Headset, bottom bracket and cranks checked
  • Gears and brakes tuned and adjusted as necessary
  • Wheels checked for true, hubs checked for play
  • Nuts and bolts checked, chain lightly oiled, tyres inflated

Good for: Bikes that need a quick tune up (perhaps before an event). New bikes that need assembling


GENERAL SERVICE (the benchmark for all our services)

This service is our main service. It includes the following

  • Wheels are trued, hubs are checked for play and adjusted if needed
  • Headset and bottom bracket are checked for play and adjusted if applicable
  • Gears are tuned and indexed, cabling and parts replaced as needed
  • Brakes are balanced and tightened, cabling and pads are replaced as needed
  • Nuts and bolts are checked such as crank, stem and handlebar clamp
  • Tyres are inflated, drive chain is lubricated and the bike is cleaned

Good for: All bikes at least every six months to keep things running smoothly.



This service is a partial strip down of a bike with the degreasing of parts. It includes the following:

  • Drivechain & Brakes are removed & thoroughly degreased. This is the best method of cleaning off all of the road dirt & grime, & is excellent at freeing up seized or sticky parts. When clean, parts are lubricated as needed & refitted
  • The bottom bracket is removed and the frame threads and cleaned and greased
  • The bike is then serviced as per a general service

Good for: Bikes used regularly that have picked up all of the dirt and grime from the roads



This service is a full strip down of a bike to a bare frame. It includes the following:

  • Bike stripped to a bare frame, frame and fork cleaned and checked (suspension forks not included - this is a separate service)
  • Headset and bottom bracket are removed, their condition is checked, they are greased and refitted
  • Wheel hubs are disassembled, checked for damage, cleaned, greased and reassembled
  • Drivechain and brakes are degreased and serviced
  • Then the bike is serviced as per a general service

Good for: Restoring your bike to its former glory, recommended annually depending on usage
Suspension forks/rear shocks not included. Full suspension MTB pivots an bush service not included. These are separate services.


HUB/FREEHUB SERVICING (sealed cartridge bearing type)

This is for a sealed bearing type hub. One piece bearings will need removing and reinstalling form the hub during the service. The hub will also be cleaned out and greased

  • Sealed Bearing type. A front and rear hub usually require two sealed bearings in each. A rear hub could also require two bearings in a serviceable freehub body. Bearings are generally £5-£8 per bearing fitted. It will also cost £15 per hub for the stripdown and rebuild. and Your freehub body will also be serviced/cleaned when replacing rear hub bearings
  • Please ask for a total cost but price will range from £30 for a bearing replacement in a front hub to £80 for complete bearing change in both hubs
  • £30-£80
